People of Argentina, I come to you today as a friend, not as a politician, seeking only your well-being and happiness. With your help, we can turn this country around and make it the utopia it is destined to be; a country that values the worker, not the aristocrat. This vision is not impossible, and it is not a pipe dream. Argentina could be the kind of country where every citizen is seen as a worthwhile contributor to society. And it can be that way, right now, today!
My fellow Argentines, I know from experience the kind of hypocrisy you have had to deal with over the years. My father, a poor Portuguese immigrant, was a lowly member of the working class, who was never respected for the hard labor he put in day in and day out. When he told me stories of the awful treatments he endured, I swore to myself, if I was ever elected into office I would abolish that aristocratic snobbery forever!
If am elected to office, I promise to improve your working conditions. I will bring in new industries and introduce Argentina to the industrialized world. This will become a nation comparable to the United States and Europe. Argentina has all the potential to be a viable world power, and I want to see us take our place in this world!
Women, your time has also come when you should be able to expand your horizons, exhibiting your talents to the rest of the country (to the world even). No longer will you be viewed as the lesser sex, good only for domesticity and child rearing. You deserve to have your place in the work force, and be respected for your contributions. My mother spent her whole life in the shadow of my father, and secretly she always wished for a life of her own. She wanted to be a full fledged citizen of this great country. I want the women of Argentina to have the chances my mother was never given the opportunity to enjoy. I want to know your opinions, I want to make it possible for you to pursue jobs outside of the home; and I want your position in the home to be embraced and respected.
Argentina, I promise if I am elected I will work to make these visions reality. Not in two years or three. Not even in a couple months. No, these changes will be enacted the moment I am sworn into office. You are my first priority, you are my people; and together we can be a stronger, greater, more prosperous nation that loves the working class, blue collar worker, and tireless laborer. A nation that loves the housewife, the mother, and the working woman. Together, Argentina, this is possible! Together, we can make this happen!
